Disable Automatic Sunshine Service Launch (Game Streaming Nvidia)
Sunshine is an open-source, cross-platform game streaming solution built upon the Moonlight engine. It allows users to stream games from Windows or Linux machines to various client devices, supporting a wide range of protocols and codecs for low-latency gameplay.
Auto-Start Configuration Issue
When setting up Sunshine for local game streaming, users may face difficulties locating its auto-start settings to disable automatic launch at boot. Despite checking common locations and interfaces:

The option to disable “Start With Windows” is not listed in the expected places, requiring manual searching through Windows Services.
Steps To Disable Automatic Sunshine Launch
- Open Windows Services by searching for ‘services’
- Locate and open the Windows Services app
- Find the “Sunshine Service”
- Double-click on it to open its properties
- Set the “Startup Type” to Manual
